The Business School is one of the oldest in the UK with roots dating back to the Victorian Period.  Over the last 120 years the school has grown in size and although it is one of the country’s original Business Schools, it has maintained a cutting-edge and intelligent approach to the challenges facing business and managers around the world in this current recessionary times.

Our world-class intelligent new Business School building (in the 'Manchester Corridor') will be launched and opening for students, employers and the civic community in 2012, offering an exciting learning environment and leading business to become an agent of world benefit.  We will also aim to develop the skills and capabilities of students to be future generators of sustainable value for business and society at large and to work for an inclusive and sustainable global economy.
