2010 International Conference on ‘Learning from De-radicalisation and Rehabilitation Programmes that focus on Al-Qaida-related Terrorism’to held at the Arab Thought Forum in Amman. The conference is funded by the Norwegian Foreign Ministry and will be attended by United Nations officials and government officials from Europe and the Arab World (CIBI Organisers: Hamed El-Said, Heinz Tüselmann).

2010 Cranfield – CIBI Symposium on ‘Design-led Approaches in Public Sector Services Innovations’, to be held at Cranfield University in January 2010. The symposium will be attended by academics, policy-makers and senior managers from public sector organisations (Co-organiser: Lawrence Green).

2009 3rd ISRICH Conference on ‘Innovation and Change in Health Care Systems’. 4-5 June 2009, to be held at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School. The International Society for Research on Innovation and Change in Health Care Systems (ISRICH) beings together researchers interested in the development of health care systems and their interaction with the wider environment in society, politics and culture. By applying advanced methods in institutional and evolutionary economics on current health issues, ISRICH seeks to design sustainable policies and give advice to decision-makers in relevant policy fields. Seminar by the Director General of the German-British Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the Future of German Foreign Direct Investment in the UK, held at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School, with participation of the Northwest Development Agency, Manchester Inward Investment Agency and Pro.Manchester. (Organiser: Heinz Tüselmann).

2008
International Conference on Globalisation, Economic Reforms, Aid and Democracy in the Arab World, held at Arab Thought Forum in Amman, 3-4 February 2008. The conference was jointly organised by CIBI, the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London and the Arab Thought Forum. The Conference was presided by HRH Prince Hassan of Jordan. Financial support for the Conference was received from the Department for International Development (DFID) and the Council for Brititish Research in the Levant. (Co-organiser: Heinz Tüselmann, Hamed El-Said, Despoina Filiou and Sougand Golesorkhi).

Annual Conference of the European Meeting of Applied Innovation Economics, held at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School. Financial support for the Conference was received from the Netherlands Environmental Agency, DIME Network of Excellence and Edward Elgar. (Conference Organiser: Paul Windrum).

International Workshop on Labour Relations in Multinational Companies and Subsidiary Performance, held at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School, funded by the Hans-Böckler-Foundation (Organisers: Heinz Tüselmann).

Seminar held at the Trade Union Congress in London on Labour Relations and Firm Performance in German Multinationals in the UK: Lessons for Management and Trade Union Relations in British Firms (Organisers: Heinz Tüselmann).

2003
Workshop held at the German-British Chamber of Industry and Commerce in London on Investment, Operations and Employment of German Multinationals in the UK. The workshop was attended by representatives of the Invest in the UK Bureau of the Department for Trade and Industry, former advisors to HM Treasury, senior managers of German MNCs in the UK and academics from the UK and Germany.
