CIBI brings together international level of research in International Business and Innovation – areas in which Manchester Metropolitan University has externally recognised expertise. The aim of CIBI is to develop outstanding, internationally recognised academic research that contributes to the advance of knowledge, to inform international management practice and policy-making at international, national and regional level, as well as to contribute to capacity building in its disciplines in the UK and abroad.

Regionally, at the forefront in those research areas/streams where CIBI where CIBI has distinct advantages vis-à-vis other major universities in the region and to be the locus for such expertise in Northwest England.
Internally, to enhance the Business School’s and University’s standing by being one of its premier externally recognised clusters of research strength and to contribute to the growth and deepening of research capacity across the Business School.
