Consultancy Services

The Centre undertakes research in partnership with a wide range of organisations to explore the challenges of managing, leading and developing people, and to deliver capacity-building and create high sustainable organisational performance.

Our aim is to deliver research that has high impact on policy and practice, improves the working lives of employees, regards the commercial interests of business and industry, and the interests of public service and voluntary organisations.

Our research is applied and evidence-based, and we deliver tailor-made solutions to organisational and sector-specific challenges and issues. Our researchers work at the cutting-edge of this field, with extensive links to partner research institutions worldwide and professional bodies and associations.

As such, many of our researchers continue to work in industry and have personal links with senior managers and human resource practitioners across a diverse range of businesses across the globe. This ensures our research and knowledge is up to date and relevant for today’s economic environment.

These relationships also enable us to combine both academic expertise and practitioner experience, which supports the delivery of effective and pragmatic solutions to an array of issues and concerns many organisations are face.

What we offer

Our research expertise and skills can be applied across organisations in all sectors and of all sizes. Having a wide-ranging experience in policy evaluation, we can advise on policy design and implementation. We also have the skills and expertise to investigate organisational challenges and design tailor made effective solutions.

We are able to offer a full range of investigatory techniques, either on a stand-alone basis or in combination with other methods. We can conduct interview programmes, hold focus groups or undertake surveys.

You may wish us to undertake, for example, a staff attitude survey and then explore important issues which emerge from analysis through interviews or focus groups. Our analysis will provide you with reports and recommendations which will be action oriented, have impact and support the enhancement of organisational practice.

Alternatively we can use surveys and interviews to explore the effectiveness of current policy and recommend evidence-based solutions to challenges faced.
