6th Performance and Reward Conference
Wednesday 6th April 2011, MMU Sandra Burslem Building

Managing Performance and Reward in Challenging Environments

This one-day conference will provide a forum for academics, practitioners, consultants and doctoral students to debate current international issues and challenges in performance and reward. The conference will focus on the issue of challenging environments, from broader economic and organisational matters to specific individual issues in the workplace. The scope will be wide and varied encompassing a number of different topics related to this general theme.

Key note speakers:
Lorraine Bater, Global Business Transformation Director, Syngenta, "How leaders can inspire commitment in others to perform at their best".

Professor Marilyn Davidson, Professor of Work Psychology and Co-Director of the Centre for Equality and Diversity at Work, "The gender pay gap and women in management - myths and realities".

Employment Law Update 2011

Both these sessions will be held in Lecture Theatre 3 in The Business School Building, Aytoun Street

In these sessions employment law lecturer Stephen Taylor will summarise and explain all the major developments in employment law during the past year, focusing on those which have the greatest practical significance for organisations. He will also look forward to the major developments anticipated for the year ahead.
