The Department works with colleagues across the Faculty and is responsible for planning and managing a wide range of provision in close co-operation with the other Departments in the Faculty.
Taught Masters programmes cover the full range of Faculty activity and include the MBA and courses in accounting and finance, financial planning, marketing and public relations, logistics, project management, digital business, human resource management, international business and sustainable business. A range of management development programmes are also available in management and leadership for those at different stages in their career. Professional programmes include the part-time provision within the school.
Commercial programmes are provided for company clients and can be accredited or non- accredited. Current clients include Tescos, Asda, Booths, Southern Co-op, Halfords, McDonalds, McCann Ericsson and CIMA. We also work in partnership with a range of carefully selected academic partners to deliver programmes in digital marketing, Internet retailing, management and leadership and procurement.
The Department is the business development arm of the Faculty and provides a range of support services to the Faculty Centres which are the focus of enterprise and research expertise within the Faculty. It works very closely with the Centre for Enterprise to develop strong connections with regional, national and international business and other types of organisation to ensure a two way relationship with organisations. We support development of accredited and non-accredited courses, work-based learning, student projects, internships and placements, joint research and innovation projects and other funded projects.
