What Our Employers Say

What Our Employers Say

MMU Business school students continue to impress our employers whilst on placement.

Have a look at what they have to say…

The Placement Team has developed and fostered relationships with a variety of organisations to provide placement opportunities for our students, advertising over 1000 vacancies every year.

We have developed strong links with employers and we are continually bringing new companies on board with our successful scheme. But don’t just take our word for it - below are some examples of which companies employ our students and what they have to say about Business Placements with MMU:

Which employers recruit our students

Previous students have undertaken placements at various companies:

Listed are some of the bigger, more well-known companies but we also have opportunities with some smaller, less-known companies. Although we understand the lure and attraction of the larger, more popular companies, some of the best placements and experiences can be with a smaller company. You can gain a deeper insight into the business, be given a lot more responsibility as well as the opportunity to work alongside and learn from some of the more senior employees.

Over the last 3 years the intake of placement students at Bentley has more than tripled – from 15 to 50. This not only demonstrates the importance of placements to the business, but is also a testament to the added value provided by each and every one of our Industrial Placement students. Due to a positive and open relationship, we have recruited numerous students from MMU – both past and present – and hope to build further success with the University in the future.”

Keith Ajagun-Brauns, Bentley Motors

‘The placement team at MMUBS are a great support system for the students. They have been a fantastic point of contact for me throughout the year in ensuring we are doing everything we can to ensure the students are receiving all the help and advice possible. The staff at the University have always been incredibly helpful, providing support during the recruitment process and with any other queries which arrive. It’s reassuring to know that they are always on hand to assist in a professional and commercial capacity’.

Hemali Shah, IBM Campus Team Leader for Manchester Metropolitan University

“The placement team at MMUBS are fully committed to supporting their students in securing suitable companies with whom to undertake their placements.   The opportunity to experience a placement is
fantastic; not only does it enhance a person’s employability, but it is also a successful method by which to recruit employees for the future.”

Shama Abul - Recruitment Supervisor, Enterprise Rent-a-Car.

“Our student came along leaps and bounds whilst with us, growing in confidence in himself, his ability and knowledge of the business and industry. He successfully ran the largest campaign the business runs, alongside myself, dealing with all departments in the business, working on a campaign which so far has generated £3.5 million.”

Dawn Hayward, Marketing Manager, Findel Education

“This is the first year we've had MMU placement year students and it's been a great experience for us. Both students have fitted in well with the company and shown a lot of initiative and willingness to learn.”
