The Business Summer School aims to equip international students and those working in business, with an understanding of business practices and principles whilst allowing students an opportunity to improve their English language skills.

Spread over three weeks and delivered in English throughout, the Summer School consists of a mixture of formal teaching, business and cultural visits and a series of guest seminars from academics and industrialists which all aim to give detailed insights into business as practice.

Performance throughout the Summer School will be monitored and assessed through presentation exercises and group discussions, as well as a final assessment at the conclusion of the course. English language and communication skills will be reviewed and developed throughout the programme.

Students who successfully complete the course will be:

• able to communicate effectively in English within a business context
• familiar with essential business vocabulary and terms
• able to derive understanding and knowledge from business courses delivered in English
• familiar with the role of a range of business disciplines from both a domestic and international perspective

Entry Requirements:

Attendees need to have a basic level of English before attending the course.

To apply for the Business Summer School please follow this process:

1. Complete the application form and post, along with two passport photographs, to us at the specified address
2. 3. Upon arrival at the Summer School, the remainder of the fee will be payable

 

The price of the Summer School is £1200 (ONLY £1100 if deposit is paid by March 1st 2012 for Summer School 1 and April 1st 2012 for Summer School 2)
Discounts are available for groups of 5 or more. This includes accommodation, tuition, field trips, cultural visits and seminars.
