MANCHESTER Metropolitan University Business School has launched a unique training academy aimed at commercial clients.
The Commercial Academy offers courses in management, finance, marketing and business skills.
Uniquely the training is delivered by team of experts drawn from both the University sector and the professional sector, and courses are designed in collaboration with employers.
MMUBS has a track record of commercial training having designed programmes with Tesco, McCann Erickson, the Co-operative Group and Bank of New York Mellon.
Unique service in city
Steve Bainbridge, Director of the Commercial Academy, says the launch of the Commercial Academy is a major development for business training:
“Whilst there are many providers of business training in the UK, the Commercial Academy differs as it has direct affiliation with an established and respected major university. This ensures that our clients can be confident that they are accessing a quality of training which is second to none.”
Dr David Edmundson-Bird, Manchester Metropolitan University's Director of Executive Programmes, said the mix of academics and training professionals is a great asset: "As well as having access to some of the best academics in the UK, we have an experienced team of commercial training providers, ensuring that our clients will be receiving training from the best from the worlds of academia and business.
"There is a growing demand for commercial training which is underpinned by the quality assurance that affiliation with an academic institution gives; we believe the Commercial Academy will provide this."
Training can be on campus, on-site, at a third venue or through e-learning.
