Got a winning business idea?

Published: 18th September 2006

A NEW student incubator is being set up by MMU Business School.

Opening in early 2007, the 'Student Incubator' in the Minshall Building, Chorlton Street, Manchester will give up to 100 graduates a chance to get their business ideas off the ground and become self-employed.

The incubator will offer a rent-free base for their business in the heart of the city.

Business support will be on hand from lecturers, business advisors and professionals from the financial and legal worlds. Successful entrepreneurs will also be invited as guest mentors.

12-month support

A spokesman for the Centre for Enterprise at MMU said: "All graduating students and recent MMU graduates will be eligible for a place for 12 months provided they have a sound business idea and a strong commitment to becoming an entrepreneur."

An Open Day for budding student entrepreneurs and graduates to help shape the incubator is being held on Tuesday, October 10 between 5-7pm.
