COURSES at Manchester Metropolitan are among the most relevant in the UK for finding a good job.
Some of MMU’s most popular courses - in computing, finance, sport and leisure - lead to careers in the most flourishing sectors of the UK economy, according to Universities UK.
A report by UUK says graduate-level jobs in the computer industry are expected to jump 20% to 530,000 by 2014. MMU is one of the largest trainers of graduates in the North with around 1,000 undergraduates on computer science, computer games technology and artificial intelligence degrees - www.docm.mmu.ac.uk

Demand for graduates in the £10bn sport and leisure industry is expected to soar, particularly in the run up to the 2012 Olympics, creating opportunities for graduates from MMU 5* Exercise and Sport Science set-up www.cheshire.mmu.ac.uk/exspsci
MMU also has around 1,600 undergraduates in Food and Tourism Management www.hollings.mmu.ac.uk and has expanded provision in leisure management.
Sally Hunt of the University and College Union said: "Universities are not just about providing degrees based on what business is right for the country or only courses that make profit or appear the most popular."
But Richard Lambert, director-general of the CBI said the courses highlighted in the report "need to be celebrated and encouraged".
