Professional Accounting

BA (Hons) Professional Accounting

This part-time degree programme, developed in partnership with AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians), ICAEW (The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) and Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) provides an accelerated route to achieving the AAT and ACA professional qualifications, a BA (Hons) degree and a Masters award.


During the programme you will have the opportunity to achieve:

  • AAT Diploma in Accounting Level 4
  • ICAEW Certificate in Finance, Accounting and Business (CFAB)
  • BA (Hons) Professional Accounting
  • ACA from ICAEW
  • MSc Professional Accounting.

This BA Hons programme is outside of the UCAS entry procedures, therefore you apply to MMU direct using the application form

Applications
Applications are now open for January 2012 and September 2012 start dates.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE Grade C or above in English Language or Mathematics
  • 280 UCAS tariff points, including 200 at A2 or accepted alternatives
    (eg BTEC or the New Advanced Diplomas)
  • AAT Diploma in Accounting Level 3
  • International Baccalaureate 29 points
  • An Access to HE Diploma will also be considered

This is a 5 stage programme, resulting in a degree and professional qualifications.

Fees
The fee for Stage 1 January 2012 starters is £2,800 (plus professional body fees)
Start date for January 2012 intake
The course is a day release course running 1 day a week
Stage 1 will run from Thursday 12th January every Thursday for 20 weeks
