The Business School is a major centre for postgraduate management education and development. Our comprehensive portfolio of qualification linked programmes, directed through a dedicated Postgraduate facility, attracts participants not only from the North West region and wider United Kingdom but from all over the world.

In recent years the postgraduate and professional portfolio has gradually been extended. Today, there are over 1100 participants studying full and part-time on a wide range of programmes. Master of Business Administration (MBA)
The MBA can be taken as a one year full-time programme, part-time over 30 months or by block-release, also over 30 months. Our MBA programmes are aimed at the ambitious manager who wishes to gain a high quality MBA - one that will count in the real market place of employment. All of our MBA programmes are AMBA accredited.

Converting your Postgraduate Diploma into a Masters Degree

If you have previously completed a Postgraduate Diploma at the Business School at MMU (or an equivalent level 7 qualification elsewhere) you have the opportunity to undertake some further study and complete your master's degree within 12 months. Holders of the Diploma in Management Studies or awards from approved professional bodies may also be eligible for entry.

Awards available in 2009-10 are MSc Health and Social Care Management, MA Human Resource Management, MA Practising Management (formerly MSc Management), MSc Marketing Communications and either MSc Accounting and Finance or MSc Strategic Financial Management (for fully qualified professional accountants).
