Please note that we do not offer programmes on a distance learning basis.
What are the fees?
Please see attached.
How long will it take to receive an offer letter or invitation to interview?
Your offer letter should reach you within one month.
Are there places still available?Yes – at the moment there are.
What is the closing date for applications?
If you wish to be sure of a place it is worthwhile applying now – but you can always check to see if the programme is full.
When does the programme start?
Week commencing 22nd September 2008.
When do we receive joining instructions?
Summer 2008.

What do I do if I cannot obtain two academic references?
One of your references can be from a place that you have worked.
I cannot get my references for six weeks – should I hold back sending my application until I get my references?
No.
What is the attendance pattern?This varies from programme to programme – please see attached programme information.
How many units are studied?
This depends on the unit size (10 credits or 20 credits). Normally 60 credits per stage.
What electives will be offered?
Where programmes offer electives, they will normally be offered from the fields of:
- Marketing
- Business Information Technology Management
- Human Resource Management
- International Finance.
How do we pay the fees?
i. in full at enrolment
or ii. additional resources fee element at enrolment + six direct debit payments
or iii. sponsorship, eg employer
or iv. career development loan
Are there any exams?
In some programmes (not in the MSc in Management)
Are there any exemptions?
You will need to contact the Programme Leader to discuss this.
How much work is involved – hours per week?A typical week will consist of four contact teaching hours. In addition you will need to spend at least eight hours per week studying on your own or in your study groups, and most people choose to put in even more time than this.

12 January to 27 March 2009
20 April to 26 June 2009
Dissertations will be due in Late September 2011
NB Programme dates may differ and will be sent out with your Welcome Pack.
Will I qualify for a scholarship from your university?
Unfortunately this University does not offer scholarships.
Do you offer January entry?
Not normally.
Do I need TOEFL or IELTS?Only those students whose first language is not English and whose first degree was not conducted in English are required to provide evidence of English Language proficiency. Certificates must be provided for any English Language qualifications obtained. These should be submitted with the application and remainder of the documentation.
The following English Language Qualifications are recognised by the university for entry to all the Business School Masters Programmes except for entry to MA Public Relations.
- TOEFL (Teaching of English as a Foreign Language) score of at least 575 (paper based test) with not less than 4 in TWE (Test of Written English)
- TOEFL Internet Based Test score of 90/91.
- IELTS (International English Language Testing System) score of at least 6.5 (with not less than 6 in any category)
For MA Public Relations we require IELTS 7.0, TOEFL 600, TOEFL Internet Based Test 120.
Please note that you should apply to do the ‘Academic’ version of the test.
Is there ANY financial support available at all?
Limited, eg Access to Learning Fund.
